As women become mothers their babies come through them to become humans on this planet. It is of the utmost importance to bring these new souls into this world with love. Each of us has our own wounds that have created the places of shadow within us, but our babies come to us as pure light. It is my job as a doula to not only support you through this threshold, but also to hold loving space for the beautiful soul you are ushering into this world. Venessa is a mother of three and has been attending births regularly in various capacities for over 20 years. She believes strongly in unmedicated birth and labor because it is a natural process of the body. However, she recognizes that we are blessed to live in a time on this planet where we have real choice and if medical intervention is necessary for the health and well being of mother and child we are able to take advantage of the benefits of science. She had all of her children unmedicated, the third being an unattended birth with only her children and now, late, husband present.
